Deepen Your Practice – 25hr Yoga Immersion

Welcome to Deepen Your Practice: Yoga Immersion. This is 25 hrs of practice and study over five consecutive days. Each day, we will meet in the morning, afternoon, and evening to awaken, sustain and release. Each session will  include practice and discussion applicable to the time of day. The aim of this immersion is to move you deeper into your practice so that you can begin to live your yoga on and off your mat. You will gain new insights to guide yourself skillfully through all aspects of your life: work, creative projects, relationships, and above all, your relationship with yourself.  What does it mean to live your yoga? This is a wonderful offering for all levels of practice and for students considering the 200 hr YTT. Class size will be limited to ensure individual attention to alignment.

Monday to Friday June 27 – July 1 

Daily schedule:

  • 8:30am – 10:30am – 75 min practice followed by presentation/discussion
  • 3:30pm – 5:30pm – 1 hour practice and discussion 
  • 9pm – 10pm – Release your day – Yin, acupressure, and Myofascial release

  • Philosophy, history – Overview of the yoga tradition and the emergence of yoga in the west
  • Archetypes – Primary deities and the personified energies of nature
  • Cultural Intersections – ways to intersect yoga within your own cultural roots  
  • The 5 directions and 5 elements – A tool for balance 
  • Biomechanics – Principles of Alignment 
  • Energy Body – Overview of energy pathways and centers
